Two Arab students on Sunday, reported they were assaulted by Jews in Jerusalem’s Kiryat Yovel neighborhood. They were lightly injured when they appeared to file the police complaint. They told police a number of Jews attacked them, hitting them all over their bodies.
In recent years, dozens of Arab students live in the community, in student dorms in the area. About three years ago an Arab student was stabbed in his face and seriously injured in a brawl between Arabs and Jews. He was hospitalized and required 35 facial sutures. There were other attacks and confrontations between Jews and Arabs in the neighborhood in recent years as well.
