Education Minister Naftali Bennett has postponed Lag B’Omer vacation by a day, from Sunday to Monday. Hence, public schools will be open on Sunday, Lag B’Omer, and buses will be required to transport students.
According to experts, this means about 25% of all the buses that were planning to be used to transport mispallalim to and from Meron will not be available and clearly, this will lead to a significant shortage of buses.
Bennett’s move is linked to his trying to minimize Chilul Shabbos, moving the day off to Monday instead of actually on Lag B’Omer, which this year falls on Motzei Shabbos and Sunday.

That’s because in the “democratic” state of Israel Egged has the monopoly that may not be broken! Although some companies kicked off for certain cities, Egged still has the monopoly to busy cities.
Much better to inconvenience those going to the bonfires than create the disruption to parents’ work schedules and bitul torah that would occur if the school buses are diverted to Meron travel
#2 More likely than not because of shortage of Egged buses school buses will anyhow be used “privately” (whatever that means…).
Why are you always so ‘concerned’ about bitul Torah and finding fault in others? FYI those travelling to Meron most likely learn throughout their trip more than you learn throughout the year.
Arye says “finding fault in others”. You, of all people, need to take a good look in the mirror. You are full of hate and despicable. Do us all a favor and log off.
