Histadrut Threatening A Nationwide Strike Beginning On Tuesday


The Histadrut National Labor Federation is threatening a nationwide strike that would begin on Tuesday, 29 Nissan. The threatened strike surrounds the new Israel Broadcast Authority and employees of the current Israel Broadcast Authority (IBA).

The ultimatum put forward by Histadrut leader Avi Nissankoren expires on Tuesday. Nissankoren declared a work dispute back on April 3rd and this permits the strike beginning Tuesday which will include government offices, ministries and companies as well as many others.

  1. This egoism is totally irresponsible to include health and emergency services in a strike. It’s time that the modern world puts an end to this dangerous and harmful strike business.

  2. They better not block any intersections during their strike, or else they risk being labeled “thugs,” “ungrateful parasites,” “time-stealers,” and worst of all: “(having) an unbelievably low level of Ahavas Yisroel.”
    Oh, I just realized — they won’t be blocking any intersections. They’ll be shutting them down altogether!

  3. #1 Doctors and nurses in Laniado Hopital in Netanya who dare join the strike would immediately be fired. Laniado is the only hospital that really cares about their patients and would not allow such irresponsibility.
