Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Chagit Moshe calls on Bayit Yehudi party leader Naftali Bennet to eliminate the agreement for the egalitarian prayer area at the Kosel, which she warns gives Reform and Conservative Judaism a foothold in the Kosel area.

On Wednesday 9 Nissan, during a holiday toast held by Bayit Yehudi in Ir David, she called on him to act to eliminate the arrangement. Among those taking part in the event were Jerusalem Chief Rabbi Aryeh Stern Shlita, Deputy Defense Minister Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan and MK Moti Yogev.

The deputy mayor called on both Bennet and Justice Minister (Bayit Yehudi) Ayelet Shaked to both act by working with Minister of Religious Services (Shas) David Azoulai to make certain the egalitarian prayer area agreement is trashed.

Moshe added “Just as Ir David is a symbol of Jewish sovereignty, the Kosel is a sign of religious sovereignty connected to the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and Toras Yisrael”. Her words were met with a standing ovation.
