The Olim B’Hatzlacha organization (עולים בהצלחה) is quite busy these days, preparing a seder in Tel Aviv for no less than 1,600 participants. The event is set to take place in the Galaxy Palace Hall in the city and the seder will be attended by members of the Ethiopian immigrant community, those who moved to Israel in recent years along with youths from around Israel wishing to celebrate the night with the former immigrants.
The עולים בהצלחה organization operates year-round to assist the Ethiopian community in Tel Aviv/Yaffo, including programs for the young and elderly alike. The community rabbi in Tel Aviv/Yaffo Rabbi Yehuda Sahala will be leading the seder along with many volunteers who will be assisting.
He explains there is no better time on the Jewish calendar to mark the trials and tribulations they have made to make their way back home to Israel than seder night.
Anyone wishing to volunteer for the seder may phone Adi at 052-568-2515 or Shira at 052-397-6133.
