United Hatzalah EMT reports that while driving on Sunday morning 6 Nissan, he came across a vehicle that caught fire near the entrance to Chavatzelet HaSharon. He and other drivers stopped and they extricated the passengers from the vehicle was the flames began to spread. Some of the truck drivers who stopped grabbed fire extinguishers and were able to bring the blaze under control.

The driver, a female, sustained burns to her upper body as well as smoke inhalation. Magen David Adom paramedics report they sedated her, intubated her and also gave her medication for the pain as they tried to stabilize her condition during transport to Tel Hashomer Hospital.

The female victim, who is reportedly about 40, was listed in serious condition during transport.
