Kadima leader Shaul Mofaz, a former IDF chief of staff and party associate Nachman Shai, a retired brigadier-general who served as the IDF spokesman are calling for an urgent session of the Knesset Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee.

Shai, who is credited with his splendid performance during the First Gulf War, keeping the entire nation calm as rockets pounded the Gush Dan area, explains we are still fighting old style wars while today’s realities in the battlefield include new weaponry, referring to the use of cameras.

He states “this is why we continue to fail” because we are not recognizing the need to address these new realities and modify operations to meet these new challenges.
