Good news for Israeli workers who will in the future be able to enjoy an American weekend from time-to-time. As per the deal reached with the Histadrut National Labor federation and the Israel Manufacturers Association, an employee will have the option of heading home an hour early one day a week or alternatively, take off a Sunday every four-to-six weeks. As per the Channel 2 report, the new arrangement goes into effect on July 11, 2017.

As per the new arrangement, the work week will be 42 hours. The monthly positions will be cut from the current 186 hours to 182.
