A Bank Hapoalim branch located on King George Street in Jerusalem was robbed of NIS 25,000 on Monday morning 29 Adar, a Jerusalem Police spokesman unit official announced.
The robber handed a teller a note explaining it was a robbery, taking the money and fleeing.
A citizen who realized what was taking place got into a confrontation with the robber as he fled. The area was closed down and a large police force began searching for the robber, who was apprehended and taken into custody.
