Rabbi Elyakim Levanon Shlita, chief rabbi of the Shomron and rosh yeshiva of the Alon Moreh Hesder Yeshiva spoke out against Israel’s judicial system. The rav addressed this week’s chol hamoed event at the site of the former N. Shomron community of Chomesh, one of the communities destroyed by the administration of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in 2005 in the implementation of the Disengagement Plan.
In the rav’s remarks regarding the nation’s judicial system, he spoke of the “evil that should be removed from our midst”. Rabbi Levanon explained the system errs in its definition of “right” and “wrong” and therefore, while well-intended, the court hands down poor and incorrect decisions, using Chomesh as an example.

He speaks against the archaos but continues to participate in the “hesder” with the anti-Torah army, wears a kippa sruga, probably celebrates “independence day,” etc. How inconsistent is that?
