Thieves over yomtov broke into a warehouse of the Pas Afula chessed organization and made off with thousands of NIS in supplies intended for the city’s poor.

The level of frustration and anger surrounding the break-in cannot be described as the tzedaka agencies this year struggled to put together food items to help the growing number of families who simply must turn to chessed organizations for assistance in an ailing economy.
