When the meter is turned on, the ride will begin at NIS 11.50 instead of NIS 11. If one calls a taxi on the phone, the surcharge will be NIS 4.80 instead of NIS 4.60. The surcharge from Ben-Gurion Airport remains at NIS 5.00.
It is added that by law, a driver is required to turn on the meter with the exception of destinations with a fixed price.
