A meeting took place this evening at the home of Chacham Ovadia Yosef Shlita. The Rov of the Old City, Rabbi Avigdor Nibenzal, the Rov of Rechovot, Rav Simcha Hacohen Cook and others were in attendance.
The reason they asked for an audience with Chacham Ovadia – was to request that Shas immediately withdraw from the Coalition because of its participation in the Annapolis Peace Conference.
Chacham Ovadia sought to put them at ease and told them that “if there is a decision to split Yerushalayim – I will instruct Shas to withdraw from the coalition”.

The “State of Israel” can’t rely on a military victory, as the world will not allow it again, If the Zionist State gets close to a victory this time, the world WILL step in and stop it, permanently…. end of State.
They can’t rely on support from the US, as the US can no longer support The Medina/State as long as the Palestinians have no state of their own.
Now, here is the rub. Back when the Zionist State enjoyed some mighty military victories, and some rabbis exclaimed, “Nays Min Hashomayim. This means Hashem is agreeing with the existence of the Zionist State!” there were a slew of other Rabbonim, many who were well respeced and well love until they said these words, who said, “No Way! These are not Hashem’s wishes, these are the misdeeds of man, in opposition to Hashem’s commandments. Wait, you will see, the Medina/State will not and cannot endure. There is a mistake that the Israelis make and since WWII, the USA has repeatedly made …. the mistake of assuming their enemies were somehow inferior to them intellectually, and consequently the US has suffered humiliation after humiliation. Only the size and might of the US keeps it going..
While the Israelis were patting themselves on the back, some applauding their ‘superiority’ and others crying ‘miracle of miracles!’ and relying on such imagined superiority & miracles to continue.
Ooops…. it seems now those “stupid Arabs” now know and understand how to manipulate world opinion (a better military tool than nuclear weapons) better than the Israelis, and it appears they would prevail in a military show down. They are now better armed than they were before. Oh, Sure, the Israelis try to scare them with leaking information regarding their nuclear ability, a game which the US used to keep attackers away since WWII, but the Arab world is now aware that though those may be genuine weapons, the use of any of them would be the total end to the Zionist State.
The world would not allow them to use those weapons and survive. So, the Arabs actually welcome “Israel”‘s use of one of those weapons, as that would end them, and return the land to Arab control. They are only trying to manipulate the situation to assure the weapon falls on one of their neighbors and not on them.
(only this time, Jewish people would no longer be welcomed as neighbors living together with them as before.)
Who knows, maybe those Jews whom we all love to hate, who are trying to make friends with the Arabs are right? Maybe we NEED to make friends with them.
They are now a very formidable enemy, and gaining in power and control of more and more geography and geopolitical power. Maybe that hatred that the “State of Israel” has fanned over the last 60+ years will now come to threaten Jewish people worldwide.

Don’t be so sure they will keep shooting themselves in the foot. That is one of those preconception I meant above, thinking they are somehow stupider than Jews and all. They will be having guidance from the US and from the Saudis and others to help them get their way, and they will most likely get most of what they want.

Do Y’all realize that once upon a time world opinion was with the Zionist State. The Arabs and Palestinians were considered the bag guys, terrorists, aggressors, etc.

That is one of the many reasons the Arabs are getting more support than ever before.
Oh, sure, the US will “reach out to help us” … which will be more like a high pressure job to make the Zionist State concede to the Palestinians, to make the Arabs happy, something we must do for our own, American, survival (we need that oil), … but it will be dressed up as the US helping “Israel” to achieve peace.
