Photo Essay: Coalition For Jerusalem

YW-IR-DAVID-24.JPG(Click HERE for pictures) Yesterday, at Ir David in Yerushalayim, Binyamin Netanyahu and other leaders from across the political spectrum, including Mayor Uri Lopianski, launched the new Coalition for Jerusalem in light of PM Olmert’s visit to Annapolis. Yehuda Boltshauser was there, and captured the event through the lense of his camera.

  1. Unfortunately, these politicians can only react politically–that’s all they know, with their Bala-Batische SeChel.

The Torah warns us: “Velo SaKee haaretz EsChem, BeTamaaChem O-Sa!”–If you defile the land with immorality and decadence, the land will cast you out!

There are now annual “Toeva” Parades on the streets of Jerusalem, with very perfunctory protests from the religious politicians–it’s no big deal to them, and it’s no problem at all for secular people, like Netanyohu.

So, now they wake up and see a problem. But they don’t connect the dots to their previous acquiescence to the defilement of HaShem’s holy city of Jerusalem.

We don’t need pompous posturing and speeches; we need action–TeShuva!

  2. deepthinker – 100%, even though we do not know
G-D’s ways, there is definitly a message here, & koachi votzem yodi is surely not the answer.
It is unfortunate how most USA ultra orthodox jews are tainted by zionisim.

  3. how many times have any of you ever been around east yerushalayim? did you know that 1 out of every 3 people in yerushalayim is an arab? think of how much money they’re collecting for bituach leumi. think how long itll take before they become the majority one day, chas veshalom!!

seriously, why have no other gdolim cried out against the idea to divide the city? why is the charedi side of the opposition so small and quiet? and now they’re joining forces with garbage like netanyahu. he has no interest in saving jewish lives and, as the guy above mentioned, keeping toeva out of our holy city.

i remember there was once talk of making mevesaret zion part of yerushalayim. thats how desperate they are to keep the majority jewish! its an urgent issue!

its “al corchenu” that yerushalayim needs to be divided. its inevitable that itll be the capitol of a palestinian state, unless you want this zionist state to be home for 2 nations with a deadly arab majority.

seriously, get over the nationalism and start realizing that a 2 state solution is the only way to go. daven for success at annapolis and Hashem just might decide we deserve some quiet once for all…
