IDF officials are amending regulations to reflect current intelligence community information pointing to stepped-up efforts to abduct a soldier in Yehuda and Shomron. As such, a new regulation stipulates that a minimum of four soldiers must take part in any military operations in those areas, even the most basic military operation. Prior to the new regulation, soldiers in teams of two were permitted to operate in Yosh areas. In addition, soldiers entering Yehuda or Shomron must inform their officer.
Military intelligence officials feel that after completion of the second part of the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange deal, terrorists have stepped-up efforts to abduct other soldiers in the hope of using them as negotiating pawns to obtain the release of imprisoned terrorists.

Of course they’ll try to abduct soldiers! Israel has given these terrorists every incentive to do exactly that. These Palestinians have nothing to lose and thousands of old terrorists to gain back. There’s no doubt that they’ll try to pull something like this again, it’s just a matter of time. But with God’s help they won’t ever be successful again.
