Tuesday Morning News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


The second convicted murderer of the Fogel family of Itamar HY”D, Amjad Awad, on Monday was sentenced to five life sentences for his part in the slaughter of the family.

** Striking local governments begin day two of the strike today. Special education schools will however operate and some municipalities, those with Likud mayors, have indicated they will no honor the strike, adhering to calls from the prime minister to return to work.

** IDF soldiers taking part in counter-terrorism operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron arrested five suspects during the night.

** IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz will be attending the annual NATO chiefs of staff conference in Brussels.
