Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin visited the community of Migron in Shomron on Thursday morning. The Knesset speaker planted a tree and visited a community kindergarten.
He told reporters the residents have not stolen anyone’s home, supporting the growing community which is slated for destruction in two months as per a High Court of Justice decision. He added that if the cabinet does not make Migron official, then the Knesset will have to. Rivlin explained he is not against the High Court, but he is confident the government can find the formula to legalize the community and prevent the destruction of yet another community.
The radical left-wing Peace Now organization responded to the speaker’s remarks, calling them “an embarrassment to the Knesset”.
