There were 260,000 foreign workers were living in Israel at the end of 2011, of which 89,000 are legal and 95,000 entered as tourist and remained without a legal visa. There are 45,000 illegal aliens and those seeking political asylum and 31,000 PA (Palestinian Authority) residents with work permits.

The Knesset report documents a 72% increase in the number of minor children that have entered the country, 453 in 2011 as compared to 263 in 2010.
