While regional Arab leaders continue to call on Syrian leader Bashar el-Assad to step down, he is not signaling any indication of complying with such a request any time soon. Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Turkish President Abdullah Gul have repeatedly called upon Assad to step down; but Assad prefers to continue gunning down protestors while ignoring the international community’s voice, also calling for him to relinquish power.
In a latest turn of events, al-Arabia reported on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, that Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah is preparing for the day after, simply stated the terrorist organization is making plans for a coup, to take over Syria if and when opportunity presents itself, basically if Assad falls, which many believe will occur sooner rather than later. Reports from Syria on Tuesday state four more people were killed during the morning hours, including two children.
