Katyusha Rockets Fired Into Israel

Sirens were heard in many southern cities in Israel Wednesday night close to midnight as Katyusha rockets fired from Gaza were detected. One of the three rockets impacted between Ashdod and Gadera. Sirens were heard in along the southern communities bordering Gaza, as well as Ashdod, Ashkelon, Rechovot, Be’er Yaakov, Nes Tziona, Gan Yavne, Be’er Tuvia Rishon L’Tzion and other municipalities.

Security officials have noticed more advanced rockets used in attacks from Gaza, leading to the theory that Russian-built rockets were looted from Libya weapons storage warehouses and smuggled into Gaza. According to a report in the daily Haaretz, Israel is becoming increasingly concerned because such a reality will mark the end of IAF aircraft operating over Gaza without concern, as well as the realization that terrorists can now fire at civilian aircraft in the Eilat area.

It appear these concerns have also alerted US State Department officials, with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announcing millions of dollars of aid will be given to the new government in Libya  towards combating weapons smuggling that is widespread in that country.

  1. The meshuga U.S. is rushing to support these revolutionary movements in the arab world – i.e. the new powers in Egypt, in Libya, etc.
What makes them think this new leadership is better than what preceeded it?
I think time will prove that the new is even worse for Israel and for the U.S. than the old was.
