An Israeli Arab citizen was taken into custody in Egypt last week, media reports released on Sunday, 25 Tishrei. The suspect, Muad Nourdin, was arrested by Egyptian border police after he tried smuggling weapons across the Taba border crossing, including automatic weapons and 59 bullets.

When questioned by Egyptian authorities the suspect reportedly stated he was simply delivering a package to a friend in Sinai employed in the tourism industry.
