Violence Results In Closure Of Kever Rashbi Hachnasas Orchim

Dozens of families who traveled to Kever Rashbi in Meron to spend Shabbos were met with closed doors at the Carlebach Hachnasas Orchim, leaving them disappointed and perplexed.

It appears that the hachnasas orchim, which regularly provides a venue for visitors on Shabbos has been targeted by an undesirable group that visited the holy site during recent weeks.

According to a Chadrei Chareidim report, the controversial guests during recent weeks tried to remove benches, food and disposable dishes and other items intended for guests, with those running the hachnasas orchim explaining they simply are not capable of complying with such requests from visitors. When the visitors saw they were not getting their way they became unruly and began striking the operators of the hachnasas orchim.

In response, this past Shabbos, the hachnasas orchim folks refused to open their doors, explaining they fear the violent response.

The report states that one member of the unruly group grabbed a person at the Kever and tried to force him to tell him where he can find those people with the key to the hachnasas orchim. The latter is filing a complaint with police in the hope law enforcement will take steps to restore order at the Kever.

  1. How on earth are Yidden acting, with all this violence all over the place?!? It’s unbelievable. And we’re begging Hashem to send Moshiach?
