On the other hand, September has seen an increase in the number of attacks in the Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem as opposed to August: 39 attacks in the Judea and Samaria area (30 in August) and 17 in Jerusalem (6 in August). A shooting incident has occurred in September from within Sinai against Israeli targets.
Two Israelis – a father and his baby son – were killed on September 23 as a result of stone/object casting near Hebron (Judea); and two Israelis were injured – a security officer (September 7) and a civilian (September 21), as a result of firebomb throwing in Judea.

Jerusalem and the Judea and Samaria area: Most attacks executed in September (54 out of 56) were in the form of firebombs (August: 34 out of 36).

Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem – 56 attacks: 1 explosive device; 1 object/ stone throwing; 54 firebombs (17 in Jerusalem).
High-trajectory launchings from Gaza
Throughout September 2011, 8 rockets and 2 mortar shell were launched towards Israel (in 9 attacks), compared to 145 rockets and 46 mortar shells in August 2011 (in 134 attacks).
