Residents working in state hospitals have announced they are trying their utmost to avert a disaster in the healthcare system, and as such, rather than walk out today, Tuesday, 6 Tishrei, in line with their letters of resignations, they are giving state negotiators an additional 48 hours, a final extension in the hope agreement can be reached.

Health Ministry officials announced earlier in the week that the absence of some 800 residents will sorely impact the system, and most probably lead to a total systemic collapse in a number of days.
