Israel’s wine industry accounted for NIS 1.17 billion in 5771. This represents a drop from the previous year, which closed at NIS 1.2 billion. This year, there was a 20% increase in kosher wine imports to Israel.
According to a daily HaMevaser report, wine sales in Tishrei are over three times the annual average, reported at NIS 320 million as compared to an average month in which sales amount to NIS 100 million. Wine sales this year are down 7% compared to the previous year.
