The U.S. and other allies are scrambling for a path to push Palestinians back into direct peace negotiations with Israel, but prospects appear to be grim. Diplomatic efforts by Western member states aimed to head off a UN resolution on Palestinian statehood have achieved little or no progress thus far.
In a weekend interview, an Iranian official described the effort as merely another step in a much broader plan. Mojtaba Amani, Iran’s ambassador to Egypt, openly conceded in an interview with Al-Watan al-Arabi, that the PA’s push for full membership as a UN member state “is a step towards wiping out Israel,“ and that ”the Palestinians must follow a correct example and complete all the measures to prevent the Zionist Entity from depriving them their rights.”

This needs to be publicized and sent to news outlets globally…and I hope the Israeli government is on top of it.
Like it or not, the late Rabbi Meir Kahane decades ago warned “you can have Kahane or Arafat”. The State of Israel made the choice, and today, we are getting Arafat. Kahane HY”D was mocked, vilified and eventually declared “illegal” in Israel, a move that enjoyed across the board support, from the secular and frum, right and left wing, all because they realized he was becoming too popular, so that had to neutralize him. No one stood up for a frum rabbi who wanted to defend Hashem’s honor, too concerned with seats in Knesset, payment for mosdos, and yishuvim, or whatever the cause. Today, we are paying the price.
Ditto regarding Aryeh Deri as minister of the interior, who was too young, too frum and too Sephardi to wield that kind of power. He too was neutralized, sent to prison. Time to wake up.

Hindsight is 20x 20x. You are right though, Karate was the only one with the right attitude. He was a visionary and he saw where the peace process was headed.
Spira* Kahane*
Hopefully Deri still has a shot. If we can get our act together, H’B”H can bestow upon us some bracha and hatzlacha to get over this. And possibly can put a leader that can rally us up together and act as one unit.
As Mark Levin said on his show last night, “Let’s be realistic. There will never be peace in the Middle East. Why go back to pre 1967 borders, why not go back 4000 years when the Jews owned it all”?
No comparison between Kahane and Deri.
Kahane saw the Arab world as they are and Deri is a pacifist with an extended olive branch.
