Syrian state-run television announced on Thursday morning that it has apprehended an “Israeli spy” who on Saturday will admit to his actions on television. According to the report, the reported agent will admit to his part in the assassination of Hizbullah deputy commander Imad Mughniyeh as well as other operations on behalf of Israel.
The spy will also reveal how he was operating towards creating internal strife in the country, leading to the current anarchy, all on behalf of Israel.
Since the ongoing violence began in Syria in March, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has blamed “Arab and international elements” including the media for inciting against the government.
