The IDF’s Homefront Command announced it is created a new sector in the north, dividing the Haifa District into an additional sector. The new sector will include some thirty communities, including Hadera to Nachal I’ron (Wadi Ara). The new sector will be headed by Colonel Eitan Yitzchak.

Officials are planning the first training exercise for this new homefront sector, scheduled for November 2011, to include a hazardous materials scenario resulting from the area chemical factories.
