BP Shomrim received a frantic call yesterday; as a woman screamed hysterically that someone was breaking into her house. While the dispatcher helped her regain her calm and relate her address information, units from all over Boro Park immediately dashed to the location. Almost instantly, several members showed up at her house, with the caller remaining hidden inside.

The perp was standing at the side entrance to her home. Beating the door with his arms and legs, he was trying to break open the door and force his way inside. Units quickly connected with the police department, and officers headed to the scene at once. Just as the perp was about to make full body contact with the door, the officers grabbed and held him back, right in the nick in time. The male was arrested for attempted robbery, and another serious crime prevented.
