There is no court appearance set at this time for the Connecticut man arrested in the attempted car bomb attack in Times Square, the U.S. Department of Justice said today.
Faisal Shahzad, 30, is accused of trying to blow up an explosives-filled Nissan Pathfinder on 45th Street Saturday night.
The federal complaint against Shahzad charges him with trying to detonate a weapon of mass destruction, attempted car bombing, and obstructing interstate and foreign commerce by trying to kill and maim United States citizens. The complaint also says Shahzad has admitted he was trained to make bombs in Pakistan.
He has yet to be arraigned in Manhattan federal court.
