One person was killed Wednesday night in Sylmar when a Los Angeles police cruiser collided with another vehicle.

The accident occurred near North Glenoaks Boulevard and Dyre Street. Two officers in the patrol car were injured, said Officer Bruce Borihanh of the Los Angeles Police Department. The extent of their injuries was unclear.

A person in the other car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The officers sustained minor injuries.
