5:45PM EST: The FDNY is currently on the scene of a fire on the 3rd floor of a six story apartment building – located at 1000 Ocean Parkway (near Avenue J).

There is no word on people trapped and/or any injuries.

A YWN photographer is en-route to the scene at this time.

UPDATE 5:56PM EST: FDNY Battalion Chief reports that the main body of fire has been knocked down, and is located in only one apartment on the 3rd floor.

No injuries reported.
