Thousands of Brazilians were on hand on Sunday to protest the arrival of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Brazil. The Iranian leader is expected to land on Monday, on an official state visit.

Protestors included Jewish organizations, pro-Israel groups, human rights organizations and others.

Signs included those decrying the Iranian leader’s Holocaust denial statements, citing such a person is simply unwelcome.

The Iranian leader will be working to increase ties with Latin America to boost his nation’s ailing economy.
