ALBANY, N.Y. — There’s some good news regarding New York’s unemployment front as the rate drops slightly.
In July, unemployment dropped from 8.7 to 8.6 percent. About 835,900 people are still without jobs.
Upstate, we’re faring better than New York City where the unemployment rate is at 9.6 percent.
Overall, New York is well below the national level of 9.4 percent.
