Rabbi Paysach Krohn, widely acclaimed speaker and author, will be the first featured speaker at this year’s “Summer of Torah” lecture series for women at Regency Estates in Woodridge, New York, this coming Tuesday, July 7, at 10:45 AM. Rabbi Krohn will address the topic of “Kibbud Av Vo’aim – A Mitzvah for a Lifetime.”
The Catskills “Summer of Torah” brunch and lecture series is designed to provide young mothers with a well-deserved feast of ruchniyos while their children are in cheder or day camp at their respective bungalow colonies or camps. Over future weeks, the series will feature other compelling speakers. On Tuesday, July 14, Rabbi Chaim Aron Weinberg, Menahel,Yeshiva Ateret Torah, will speak on the topic of “Technology 2009 – Tool or Tyrant?” On Tuesday, July 21, Dr. Susan Schulman, pediatrician, Schulman Medical Associates, will address the issue “Do Vaccines Cause Harm? The Vaccine Autism Controversy.” And on Tuesday, July 28, Mrs. Chana Juravel, Principal, Ateres Bais Yaakov, will speak about “A Mother’s Gift that Keeps Giving.”
According to Agudath Israel’s Commission on Torah Projects, a committee of dedicated volunteers headed by Mrs. Chana Brecher and Mrs. Faigy Ackerman has been working tirelessly to make all the necessary arrangements for the shiurim.
