As health officials investigate hundreds of suspected swine flu cases in 11 states, New Jersey has confirmed its first cases of the virus.

The New Jersey Department of Health reports that five people have been confirmed to have swine flu. The New Jersey Department of Health has set up a 24 hour hotline to answer swine flu questions. That number is 1-866-321-9571.

Meanwhile, in New York City, three more Catholic schools have shut their doors, and as officials continue to investigate, more may be taking similar precautionary steps.
