New York Water Taxi says it will suspend Hudson River service between Rockland County and Lower Manhattan on May 1.
The company said Wednesday it is exploring additional funding sources.
The ferries currently run from Haverstraw to the World Financial Center and Pier 11 at Wall Street.
New York Water Taxi will continue service between Yonkers, in Westchester County, and Lower Manhattan. However, the frequency of that service will be examined.
County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef said he hopes the Rockland service can resume when the employment market and funding prospects improve.
