City Hall – Councilman Simcha Felder (D-Brooklyn) hired long-time community activist Ari Hoffnung to serve as Chief of Staff of his New York City Council offices. Hoffnung served as campaign manager for Felder’s successful 2001 Council bid and recently worked as a Managing
Director at Bear Stearns.
“I am thrilled to have Ari on my team,” said Councilman Felder. “It’s a rare opportunity to hire someone with the unique skill set and professional experience that Ari has acquired in the private sector and as a community activist.”
“I am extremely grateful for this opportunity to work on Councilman Felder’s staff and to fight for the people of Southern Brooklyn,” said Hoffnung.
Hoffnung is a fifth generation New Yorker and a grandson of Holocaust survivors. He currently serves as Co-President of the RJCC and is the former Chair of the Parks Committee of Bronx Community Board Eight. He is also active in civic and Democratic organizations. Prior to his
career in finance, Hoffnung was the Public Policy Fellow at the Hillel International Center in Washington, DC.
