Felder Votes ‘NO’ On NYC Property Taxes Hike

The New York City Council today voted 33 to 18 to increase property taxes. Council Member Simcha Felder (D-Brooklyn) voted no.

“Today, the Council votes to take the bucket to the same old well and ask homeowners to bear the brunt of a swelling budget among dwindling revenues. And yet, for years, due to growing assessments and past rate hikes, property taxes have accounted for an increasing stake of that burden. I believe that is unacceptable and that will hurt all New Yorkers in this difficult time. I vote NO,” said Councilman Felder.

  1. This stupid city will be come a mini 3rd world country. The decent middle class person is being pushed out of this city by being financially bled dry to fund those who want everything handed to them. What’s next? – a mask that measures how much air you breathe so they can charge you for that too!!!

The city is already taxing the air we breath it’s called “going green” and there are many new regulations that cost citizens lots of dough to cover these so called “green laws”

Rabbosai, civil servants including the Mayor & city council members are our representatives & are supposed to pass laws to benefit us. Yet we don’t see them doing anything of the sort. Most laws are agenda driven by media & lobbyists & we the people are nothing in their eyes.
