The Secret Service has joined an investigation on Long Island after more than two dozen vehicles were spray-painted with racist graffiti, including messages targeting President-elect Barack Obama.

One Mastic resident says “kill Obama” was written on a vehicle.

A Secret Service spokesman in Washington says the agency’s Melville office is cooperating with a Suffolk County police investigation.
