Ramapo, NY – This is an update on the Maple Avenue reconstruction project for the last week of July and the first week of August:

*The crew will begin saw-cutting for the new pipe replacements and catch basins that have to be installed.

*The crew will start installing curbs from Elyon Road to Route 306.

*The fence at Northern Metropolitan has been moved back in order to prepare for the wider roadway.

*Survey work should be finished this week.

The re-construction project covers the location of Maple Avenue between Monsey Blvd and Saddle River Road. When completed, residents will enjoy a new and wider roadway, new sidewalks, new curbs, bus turning lanes, improved lighting, new traffic lights and improved drainage.
