Maybe you see it, maybe you feel it but we all know the pressure is on.
 
The bills keep coming and the delinquent notices with their red-line envelopes arrive mercilessly.
 
Shut- off notices and threatening phone calls from the mortgage company torture many with sleepless nights.
 
Unemployment is ravaging our best Balabatim, bringing stress and strife into once harmonious homes. 
 
(Mommy says to her good friend) “Don’t let my children know but their father just lost his job, I don’t know where to go for help” 
 
(Mommy asks daddy)  ” How are we going to make it?” Daddy tries to reassure her but the doubts are written all over his face. 
 
Where can they turn?  Thanks to your generous support, Keren Aniyem has become a front line of defense for hundreds of local families suffering thru hard times 
 
Friends, it is time again to step up to the plate and this year the stakes are very high.
 
We are all fortunate to come together during our relaxing summer to eat, laugh and enjoy good friends, but we must not forget that  behind the exciting prizes, tantalizing food and inspiring camaraderie, the overwhelming cry of our heartbroken brethren is why we really gather.
