4:26PM EST: Strong thunderstorms could slam into the New York area Monday. That has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Flash Flood Watch and a Flash Flood Warning for parts of the Tri-State.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for parts of northern New Jersey and New York. A Flash Flood Warning and a Flood Advisory is in effect for parts of Connecticut.
