1:20PM EST: At least 6 pedestrians were struck by a car that jumped the curb near Rutgers Street and Madison Street (Chinatown) shortly before noon on Friday. Police say the driver lost control of the vehicle and drove up on the sidewalk, striking the pedestrians. Six people were transported to area hospitals – two have been listed in critical condition at Bellevue Trauma Center.

The NYPD is investigating the incident.
