US stocks rose, sending the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index to a four-month high:
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index added 10.77, or 0.8 percent, to 1,418.26. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 51.29, or 0.4 percent, to 13,020.83. The Nasdaq Composite Index jumped 19.19, or 0.8 percent, to 2,483.31.
