Shomrim responded to over a dozen calls from January 31 – February 8. Those include:
January 31:
Two car windows and a house window had rocks thrown though them in the Gist/Falstaff area. Shomrim responded and investigated; nothing conclusive.
February 5:
Two men were seen checking doors and windows of a home on Narcissus, and Shomrim was called. It turned out the men had been given a key by the homeowner – just not for both locks on the front door.
Group of teenagers on Park Heights and Clarinth; Shomrim tracked them until they dispersed; they were not considered a threat.
An individual was picked up at Home Depot to come and do some work. Once he got to the owner’s home, he refused to leave. With Shomrim encouragement he left. Be careful about whom you invite into your house!
A suspicious car was parked outside a house on Berkeley; we checked it out, and made sure there was no threat or danger.
There was a elevated criminal level in the Park Heights/Clarks Lane area on Tuesday night; Shomrim responded by discouraging foot traffic until the threat had passed. NOTE: This is gang-related activity.
Thursday:
3:15pm Shomrim answered a call on Labyrinth. The homeowner was harassed by 2 uninvited males. Shomrim followed the van they were driving out of the neighborhood, passed the plate number to home owner and advised her to call the police.
4:00 PM. A group of youths came from West Baltimore, and were fighting and creating havoc on the corner of Fords Lane and Park Heights. Shomrim responded immediately, with rapid police support. All involved were dispersed, with assurances that returning to our neighborhood would result in lockup. NOTE: This is gang-related activity.
