The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for much of New Jersey, including Ocean and Monmouth county, until 10:00PM tonight.

Winds gusts reaching 50 mph are possible – and are expected to damage trees, electrical wires, (possibly causing power outages).

The service advises people to take extra precautions when driving over bridges where wind conditions will be more pronounced and also when securing garbage and recycling containers.
