The New York State Police has arrested Trooper Robert W. Czora for Official Misconduct, a Class A Misdemeanor. The arrest is a result of an investigation conducted by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, regarding an incident on August 5, 2007, involving an out-of-state motorist on Interstate 87 in the Town of Ausable, Clinton County, NY.
Trooper Czora is alleged to have improperly obtained and processed $300, as purported bail, from the motorist. Czora will appear in the Town of Ausable Court on November 21, 2007 at 10:00AM.
Czora, 39 years old, is assigned to SP Valcour in Clinton County and has been suspended from the State Police without pay. Czora has been employed as a Trooper since October 1992.
