NYPD Hwy units are reporting that they have a person who was possibly in a wheelchair on the Belt Parkway – who was struck by multiple vehicles – and pronounced DOA. There are body parts scattered all over the highway. NYPD has ordered full closure of the Belt Parkway at Rockaway Parkway (possibly as far as Pennsylvania Avenue) West-Bound. This will be an extended operation, including recovery and investigation. Numerous agencies are operating on the scene. Please use alternate routes.
