A Nigerian national boarded a Virgin America flight from New York to Los Angeles last week without a passport and with an expired boarding pass that did not belong to him, Fox News confirms.
Authorities are looking into how Olajide Oluwaseun Noib boarded Virgin America Flight 415 at John F. Kennedy International Airport on June 24 without a valid passport or identification.

morning19 — You do need appropriate photo id even for domestic travel. The article states he did not have a valid “passport OR identification”. The University of Michigan student ID is not sufficient to board a plane, and anyway it was an expired ID (he was a student there in 2004 I believe!) and did not match the name on the boarding pass!
According to the original story (before the Fox News “enhancements”), he was discovered when the passenger next to him complained to the crew about his body odor.
Also he wasn’t apprehended until he tried to board a Delta flight from LAX to Atlanta a few days later.
